Who are we ?

RSA, a French company, is one of the world largest producer of synthetic corundum (sapphire and ruby) and spinels.

Key periods

• 1925 : Setting-up : Verneuil process in Jarrie / Grenoble

• 1964 : White Sapphire stabilized for watch windows

• 1967 : High purity Alumina powder

• 1974 : Verneuil sapphire balls of large size's

• 1975 : Alumina microbeads first productions

• 1978 : Launching the technical sapphire components activities

• 1990 : Creation of RSA LE RUBIS LIMITED COMPANY

• 1999 : Diversifications strategy: Starting of new crystallization processes

With over 80 years of experience in the Verneuil Process, RSA Le Rubis SA has been expanding for the last 5 years into different other processes such as EFG and BAGDASAROV processes. This expansion gives us the opportunity to offer the suitable sapphire product whatever your requirements:

Besides Sapphire production, RSA is developping and introducing, for a wide range of application, the new and successfull RSA alumina microbeads.

We are located near Grenoble, on a heavy chemistry plant where all companies comply with national and international agreements for safe environment. RSA is a member of U.I.C that promotes active improvement of the Chemistry image in France.
